Thinking. Well that's dangerous.

Maybe what makes going away so hard has nothing to do with the travel, but with the loss of company. Whe we are at home we feel safe and cared for. Even in hard times there always seems to be someone around. Yet when we travel far way on a call from God all the sudden the world seems empty and far away. It adds stress to the lives of not only the traveler but to the family and friends of the traveler. Learning to focus that sense of loss into something productive may be the hardest thing. I hope I am able to accomplish that when I get to Guatemala. I hope also that my family will be able to turn there loss into God's gain. Don't let fear or sorrow hold you back from doing God's work.
